-
Will KLOGS, KLOGS-Lite, or Kravings hurt my feet?
-
All of our brands are designed with outsoles and footbeds made from a proprietary polyurethane formula that provides exceptional shock absorption and
superior energy return. You should not experience a "break-in" period with any of the styles as the footbeds immediately mold to your foot. Just put
them on and go, go, go...
-
Can I wear an orthotic with KLOGS, KLOGS-Lite, or Kravings?
-
Many of our KLOGS and KLOGS-Lite styles are designed with a deep heel cup and come with a removable footbed to accommodate most orthotics and arch
support inserts. These styles are identified with icon on the style page.
Kravings do not offer removable footbeds and therefore orthotics and arch support inserts will most likely not work with these styles.
-
Are my KLOGS, KLOGS-Lite, or Kravings slip-resistant?
-
Anyone can say their clog is slip resistant, but we wanted proof. Slip resistance tests were carried out by an independent leading research and
technology organization for the footwear industry. All KLOGS-USA & KLOGS-Lite styles were tested for slip resistance against the American Society
for Testing and Materials (ASTM) F489-96 standard using the James machine (the James method is the test recognized by the U.S. Postal Service). Testing
was conducted under dry, wet, and oily surface conditions using red quarry tile. The results? KLOGS-USA & KLOGS-Lite exceeded the standards in
workplace environments resembling these conditions.
Kravings styles were not designed with slip resistance in mind and therefore are not recommended for slippery environments.
-
Why is your name KLOGS-USA if your shoes are not made in USA?
-
KLOGS® - USA is our brand name and we do make all styles of our polyurethane molded klogs in Sullivan, Missouri. These styles are noted with the
icon.
-
But why not leather?
-
Our parent company has been in the business of supplying shoe components to the footwear industry for over 40 years. When our customers started taking
their business off-shore, we were faced with the possibility of lay-offs. Instead, we decided to take a risk in creating a new footwear brand of our
own that would be manufactured in the USA. We started our brand KLOGS® - USA in 1999 to keep our American company operating and to be able to
employ American workers.
After several years and some success, our customers started asking for a larger variety of styles. Unfortunately, there are very few shoe factories
left in the US and the few that are around only make styles for their own brands or are simply too expensive to allow us to deliver a quality product
at a price the average consumer can afford. We decided to meet the demands of our customers by outsourcing our leather line to China. The good news is
that with the addition of our leather klog line, and our Kravings by Klogs line our business has grown and we have been able to hire more Americans at
our Missouri location.
-
Do you offer non-leather shoes?
-
We do offer a several Vegan options and these styles are identified with the
icon on the style page. These 100% animal-free shoes are made entirely of
man-made materials, and offer the same comfort and quality you've come to expect from our Brands.
-
Do you offer steel toe footwear?
-
At this time none of our styles are available with a steel toe.
-
Can my shoes be resoled?
-
We do not recommend resoling your shoes and for many of our styles it is not an option.
-
Do you offer narrow and wide sizes?
-
Yes, almost all of the styles found in our KLOGS-USA and KLOGS-Lite lines come in a variety of US sizes and widths that will accommodate Narrow, Medium
and Wide width feet. Specific size and width information can be found on the style page.
-
How do I know what size to buy?
-
All of our shoes are sized according to US whole and half size standards. For the best possible fit we recommend visiting your local retailer to have
your foot measured and making your purchase at that time.
-
How should I care for my shoes?
-
Our styles are made from a variety of leather types and fabrics, please refer to the "Caring for Your Shoes" section found on the style page.
-
Are my shoes guaranteed for life?
-
We do offer a 1 year wear guarantee on our KLOGS-USA molded polyurethane klogs. If during the first year of wear your pair of molded polyurethane KLOGS
proves to be defective in workmanship or materials under normal wear (excluding insole wear and stains), we would be happy to send you a replacement
pair of KLOGS. Our limited guarantee is valid for 1 year from date of purchase and defective product must be accompanied by original sales receipt to
be applicable. You can return that product to KLOGS-USA directly by printing out
KLOGS' Wear Guarantee Replacement Form and following the instructions. Add clarification statement found on the new Wear
Guarantee forms to clearly state what is not a defect.
Other styles found in the KLOGS-USA, Kravings and KLOGS-Lite line are guaranteed from manufacturer's defects within a reasonable amount of time and
wear. Normal or abnormal wear and tear is not considered a manufacturers defect. If you believe there is a defect with the materials or workmanship,
please contact the retailer you purchased your shoes from about returning or replacing your shoes.
-
How should I return / exchange my defective shoes?
-
At times, despite our best efforts to assure the highest quality, a product purchased from a retailer may have a defect in materials and/or workmanship
as there are many components and processes that go into footwear manufacturing.
If you believe that a manufacturer's defect has caused unusual wear or otherwise affects the use of the shoes, we require you to return the shoes to
the retailer where the shoe was originally purchased. The original selling retailer has its own policies and processes in place to satisfy your
concerns including an initial inspection for normal wear. In the event that the selling retailer cannot reasonably satisfy you, then you may then
contact us.
We require that you have the original sales receipt within one year of purchase and can identify the retailer that the footwear was purchased from. We
may use reasonable efforts to contact that retailer on your behalf to ensure full satisfaction. In the event that this is not possible you may choose
to return the footwear to us for inspection. If a determination is made that there is in fact a defect, Latitudes, Inc. has, at its option, the right
to either repair or replace the footwear with the same or comparably valued footwear. If no defect is apparent the inspected footwear will be returned
to the consumer. We do not offer monetary refunds.
-
Can I buy footwear directly from you?
-
We are the wholesale distributor and choose not to sell directly to the public. Authorized retailers can be found on Find a Retailer page.
